Steve Bruce was a relieved man after his side ended an 11-game run without a win in all competitions on Saturday.

Newcastle upset the odds with a 2-0 victory over Everton at Goodison Park. Two second-half goals from Callum Wilson capped a fine display from the Magpies.

The win followed five straight losses in the Premier League, as well as an FA Cup third round defeat in extra-time to Arsenal.
