Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side won 2-0 against Everton in the League Cup quarter-finals. Edinson Cavani and Anthony Martial scored late goals at Goodison Park.

Man United returned to the EPL with a 2-2 draw at Leicester and 1-0 home win against Wolves with Marcus Rashford scoring the winner in added time.

Manchester United then moved level with Liverpool at the top of the table after a 2-1 home win against Aston Villa. Martial opened the scoring and Fernandes scored the winner from the penalty spot.

United crashed out of the League Cup in the semi-finals after a 2-0 home defeat to Manchester City. It was a close contest but they failed to take their chances.

Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani is suspended. 18-year-old forward Amad Diallo Traore recently signed from Atalanta but is unlikely to feature just yet.
