Burnley Form

Burnley are just a place above the relegation zone but are still eight points clear of those below them. They go into this fixture off the back of two defeats, but they did win their three matches prior to that.

The Clarets began their three-match winning run with an incredible 1-0 victory at Anfield. They were the first team to win a Premier League match at Anfield in 68 matches.

That was followed by a 3-0 FA Cup win at Fulham before returning to the league action with a 3-2 home win against Aston Vila.

Sean Dyche’s charges lost their subsequent two matches, 2-0 at Chelsea and 2-0 at home to Manchester City. Considering the opposition, it was never matches Burnley were expecting to win.

There are doubts over forwards, Chris Wood and Ashley Barnes, left-back Charlie Taylor and Josh Brownhill ahead of this clash.

Taylor and Barnes were almost fit for the Manchester City match so they are both likely to play some part in this match. Robbie Brady should recover from his knock to start.

Brighton Form

Brighton have played some superb football this season without getting the results they perhaps deserved. That left them flirting with relegation but two wins in their last two fixtures has pushed them up to 15th on the table.

Graham Potter has suddenly started getting results for Brighton with only one defeat in their last eight matches. That defeat came against Manchester City where they went down 1-0 away.

Since then Brighton have beaten Leeds 1-0 away, Blackpool 2-1 at home in the FA Cup and drawn 0-0 at home against Fulham.

Their last two matches have however been the most impressive. A 1-0 victory at home to Tottenham at the weekend was followed by a 1-0 win at the champions, Liverpool in mid-week. Steven Alzate scored the winner in a very impressive Brighton performance.

Brighton Team News

Central midfielder, Alexis MacAllister is expected to be fit after missing the victory over Liverpool.

There are concerns for Graham Potter at right-back. Tariq Lamptey and Joel Veltman are both injured. Solly March went off injured against Liverpool and faces time on the sidelines.

Forward Danny Welbeck remains injured and unavailable for this encounter.

This should be a huge contrast in playing styles but both teams are in fine form. I'm backing Burnley and Brighton to keep their good runs going by taking a point each in a 1-1 draw.
