Are you a Tradie? No? Neither are we - but that didn’t stop us from joining TradieBet to see what all the fuss is about. You are a tradie? Good on ya, you can sign up and enjoy it with us, too.
TradieBet is a new Australian racing and sports betting site where clients can wager on horses, harnesses, dogs, soccer, basketball, tennis, cricket, and a range of other sports that are popular with Aussies - and tradies, apparently!
Some great betting features can be found on this site, including daily bet returns, 4x daily payouts, and same-game multis for Aussie rules and rugby league.
We went down under and undercover to test out the site with the goal of highlighting the advantages and disadvantages, allowing you to make an informed decision as to whether or not you may want to sign up.
If you decide to register, be sure to check out our TradieBet referral code before you begin the account creation process.
TradieBet Design & Navigation
TradieBet may use a familiar template for its site but, out of all the Australian sites that have used it, they are certainly the brand that has put the most effort into standing out from the crowd. Because of this, we’re going to overlook the cap we usually place on template sites and award this one an 8/10.
We had no trouble moving around this site and finding the elements we were looking for. We were able to find particular meetings for horse racing and we were able to find particular markets that we wanted within the Soccer category.
The ease of navigation is mostly thanks to the main menu, which features links to all of the most important sections of the site, including Home, Racing, Sport, Promotions/Specials, Account, and Help.
TradieBet Sports
If the drop-down menu isn’t already visible beneath the “Sports” link in the main menu, you can click it to reveal the list of sports categories that are available.
Technically, there are only 10 permanent options if we do not count the Olympic categories which will soon disappear. This is the new record for the lowest number of categories that we’ve seen on a single site.
Our favourite options are available though, but that’s only because our favourites are the typical Australian favourites - football, tennis, cricket, basketball etc. If you’re a little more cultured than us and enjoy betting on more niche sports, you might be disappointed with what TradieBet has to offer:
- Australian Rules
- Rugby League
- Rugby Union
- Football
- Tennis
- Cricket
- Basketball
- Golf
- Boxing
This is the first site we’ve seen that doesn’t have the options in alphabetical order, either - what are they playing at?
TradieBet Live Betting
Given the disappointments that we have already faced on this site, it comes as no surprise that we were unable to find any live betting markets, either. All bets must be placed before events are scheduled to begin at TradieBet.com.au.
After a brief search around the Racing section of the site, looking within all of the individual meetings and events, we were unable to find any form of live streaming function, either.
TradieBet Mobile App
“Bet smarter, not harder” is the slogan alongside the advertisement for the TradieBet mobile app, which is exactly what you can achieve by downloading and installing this dedicated application.
We found the app to be as straightforward as it should be, as fast as it should be, and as feature-rich as it should be. We were able to find all of the elements that can be found on the main website.
If you want to download the application, it can be downloaded from either the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store, depending on which operating system your device uses.
TradieBet Payment Methods
TradieBet was able to cater to our exact needs with its selection of payment options. This isn’t much of a challenge, though, given that our preferences include the most widely accepted payment methods in Australia.
To make deposits and withdrawals, we are able to choose between the following payment methods:
- Visa
- MasterCard
- PayID
- Bank Transfer
This may feel like a small selection but it is a common sight in Oz. In fact, there are many sites that only accept bank cards, which is why this platform has managed to achieve an average score in this section of the review.
TradieBet Customer Service
We are always sure to review the customer service quality of each betting site that we evaluate. After all, if we’re unable to access our accounts, there may as well be no service to begin with.
We fired a few questions in the direction of the customer service team via the Live Chat feature, which can be accessed by clicking the drop-down menu next to “Help” in the main menu, and then clicking the Support/Live Chat link.
We were very pleased with how the customer service team of TradieBet handled our queries. We asked them a number of questions and they were able to offer great advice with informative responses. What’s just as important is that they were caring, too.
If the Live Chat system is down, or you are attempting to make contact out of hours, you will need to send an email instead: support@tradie.bet.
